I will be out of town for Thanksgiving

My baby girl is turning 4 on Nov. 25th. It is hard to believe that after 6 heartbreaking miscarriages and the emotional, but wonderful adoption of our son Evan, we were blessed with our Emma Kate. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital for the first time.

My family is heading up to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to celebrate her birthday and Thanksgiving. I will have limited access to email and I'm not sure what kind of phone signal I will have up in the cabin we've rented. We are leaving this afternoon and will not return until late Sunday evening. It will be back to business as usual on Monday.

One quick reminder......Christmas is only a few weeks away. If you haven't ordered and/or paid for your Christmas Cards and/or enlargements, please try to get those in to me quickly. I want to be certain everyone has their cards in time to mail and their print enlargements in time to give as presents at Christmas.

I hope everyone has a HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Be safe!

Christmas Cards

Can you believe Christmas is only a few weeks ago? It will be here sooner than we realize.

We are proud to be offering Custom Photo Christmas Cards this year. We have a large variety of cards to choose from. If you weren't able to schedule a Christmas Session with us this year, don't worry. You can still order Christmas Cards and use any of your portrait session proofs from the past year. These are custom made Cards that you won't find at any store or online photo shot. I chose these designs from a very talented graphic designer.

Our templates are 5x7 or 5x5 and come with envelopes ready to address and mail. They must be purchased in 25 card increments. You can choose more than one template as long as each template is purchased in increments of 25. Please contact Tracy for pricing and additional details.

I love newborns

There is just something about sweet new babies. They are so tiny and precious, I could just eat them up. This little jewel was no different. Baby E. is absolutely gorgeous. She was the perfect little model for our session last Saturday, and born a Bama fan too. It can't get any better than that in my opinion. We had so much fun playing with her and posing her. Sometimes, I just had to put the camera down and just admire her cuteness (is that even a word?).

When I see a child as amazing and beautiful as this little one, I'm in awe of God's work. She is truly a blessing. Congrats to E's Mommy and Daddy. She's their first. I hope you enjoy the few "sneak peaks" from our session.

Model Mayhem

Just over a week ago, I had the pleasure of meeting an aspiring model and working with her on location. Leslie and her mom met me at Rosie's restaurant for a fun "edgy" session. I had a great time working with this young lady and her mom. We also trekked over to Maple Hill Cemetery for some dark, gothic style photos. Both Leslie and her Mom are very active participants in the annual "Maple Hill Cemetery Stroll". It was so much fun hearing about the history of many of the people buried there. The sunset light was amazing and Leslie dressed perfectly for the shoot. I really enjoyed the photo session, but I think I enjoyed Leslie and her mom more.

Here are a few favorites from the shoot. Leslie, I hope you love them. I think you're going to do well with your modeling. You're a natural!

It's fall and football season is in the air. I grew up watching and listening to Alabama football every year. I loved it. Many years later, I still love this time of year and Alabama football. There is just something about the weather cooling down and the leaves changing to all those golden colors. Due to my love of football and my fanatic "Roll Tide" family, I'm going to be doing some mini sessions that I'm calling "Spirit Shots". Dress up your family in your favorite team's colors and bring all your "cheer hoopla" for a fun photo shoot. I can't think of anything that would make my die hard Bama Fan Dad happier than to have a portrait of my kids on his wall all dressed up in their Roll Tide gear. If you're interested, call me for details. I will be posting some sample pics very soon!

I also received some wonderful news from a recent maternity session client. They gave birth to a healthy baby girl on September 18th. Congratulations Depew family. I cannot wait to meet your baby girl and take pictures of your precious daughter.

Well, here it is....

I guess I've finally jumped on the blogger bandwagon. I'm actually excited to have this up and running, especially for all of my clients. Keep checking back for updates and information on up and coming photo shoots and special promotions. I'm also planning to begin using this blog to post "early sneak peeks" for each of my photo sessions. I will post a few shots from each photo session so my clients can get an early quick peek at what is to come.

Stay tuned for all the fun!
